Roles and permissions in DXSteel
DXSteel ships its own profiles (role centres) and permission sets. Profiles decide what a user sees as their start page and which actions appear in the menus. Permission sets decide whether a user can read, create, or modify a record.
Profiles (role centres)
A user picks a profile through My Settings ā Role. DXSteel ships six profiles:

You can switch profile at any time via My Settings ā Role. Your permission sets are unaffected ā those are managed by your administrator in Users ā Permissions.
Permission sets
DXSteel has three tiers per functional area:

View ā read-only (where applicable ā exists for Certificates and Transport).

User ā day-to-day work: create and edit transactional records, read master data.

Admin ā administration: adjust master data, settings, and price lists.
Plus three cross-cutting sets:

DMX Full Access ā all DXSteel rights. For key administrators.

DMX Basic User ā general UI building blocks (page settings, document library, image library, setup tables). Always assign this alongside a functional set.

DMX Read ā read-only across all DXSteel domains. Useful for standby or audit accounts.

Production: grant DMX Full Access only to a small group of administrators. Regular users get one functional User or Admin set plus extra sets for adjacent areas.
Check or change permissions

Open the Users page.

Select the user and open Permissions (or User Permission Sets).

Add or remove rows. Standard BC saves changes immediately.
