Item Setup
Defines which Item Profile properties identify an item and how item/variant descriptions are composed automatically from underlying master data.
When to configure: once during implementation. Changes after go-live trigger a description regeneration — schedule appropriately.

Property 1 … Property 5 |
Up to five additional Item Profile properties that count as identifying for an item. Useful when standard properties don't uniquely identify a steel article (e.g. coating, finishing, surface treatment). |
Item Description Composition
These fields control how the item description and second item description are built automatically from item/variant data. Each Value picks one component (e.g. profile code, dimension, quality) to assemble the description string.
Tooltips for the composition fields are not yet defined in the source. The end-user description should be confirmed with the product owner before users rely on these settings — description missing — to be confirmed with product owner.
