Label Setup

Configures which label code is used for which combination of customer, subcontractor, item, and label type. Each row in this list is a rule: when these criteria match, use this label.

When to configure: once during implementation, then maintain as you add customers/subcontractors with custom label requirements.

Rules

Each row defines one label rule. Combine criteria to narrow down which rule applies.

Field

Description

Type

The kind of label (e.g. internal label, shipping label, production label).

Customer Type / Customer No.

Restrict the rule to a specific customer, customer category, or leave open.

Subcontractor Type / Subcontractor No.

Restrict the rule to a specific subcontractor or category.

Item Type / No.

Restrict the rule to a specific item, item category, or leave open.

Label Code

The label code (configured under Label Codes) that should apply when the criteria above match.

Add a catch-all row (no customer, no subcontractor, no item) at the bottom as a default. DXSteel evaluates rules from specific to general.

Tooltips on this page are auto-generated. The descriptions above are based on field names — confirm with the product owner during go-live.
