Warehouse in DXSteel

DXSteel extends the BC warehouse with strict bin rules, bundle creation, shipping labels, and route-aware automatic pick rules. Profile: dxsteel Warehouse and Manufacturing.

The typical outbound warehouse workflow

  1. Released sales order arrives in the warehouse as a Warehouse Shipment.

  2. Create picks — through Create Warehouse Picks or automatically per location. DXSteel can build picks per certificate via Create Picks by Cert.

  3. Pick — scan or select lots. Bin rules are enforced: do not pick from load or processing bins.

  4. Bundle (optional) — choose Create Bundles to label multiple lots as one unit.

  5. Shipping label — generate a transport label via Shipping Label. DXSteel can also print RFID labels via Print RFID Label.

  6. Post — post the shipment lines (Shipments → Post).

  7. Transport order (if planned) — see Working with DXSteel — Transport.

The typical inbound warehouse workflow

  1. Warehouse Receipt created from a released purchase order.

  2. Receive — scan or select. DXSteel only allows receipt on non-dedicated bins and never on load/output bins.

  3. Put-away — DXSteel follows route-specific rules. Put-away into processing bins is only allowed through the correct workflow.

  4. Certificate request — on receipt a request is automatically created when configured (see Working with DXSteel — Certificates).
