Certificate card and lines

The daily working document for entering and processing a physical or electronic mill certificate. The Certificate Header holds metadata (vendor, factory, type, status); Certificate Lines break a single certificate across multiple qualities and quantities.

Statuses

  • New — just created, still editable.

  • Registered — auto-assigned after entry (per setup) or manually.

  • Released — can be linked and sent.

  • Pending Approval — only when an approval workflow is active.

Setup workflow

  1. Open Certificates via Tell Me. Create New; the number comes from the series configured in Certificate Setup.

  2. Fill certificate date, certificate type (EN 10204 class 2.2 / 3.1 / 3.2), classification company, factory.

  3. For purchase certificates: pick the vendor (fills name/country automatically).

  4. Per certificate line: pick quality, fill quantity, and optionally Heat No., Plate No., Internal Lot No.

  5. For Stamp = On: pick stamp code. For norm fields (US test, Z-test, flatness/thickness/surface): pick from Certificate Specifications.

  6. Save. If Automatically Release Certificates = On (Certificate Setup), status flips to Released right away.

Best practices

Fill Heat Number and Plate Number on every certificate line — these are the primary keys for auto-linking (Step 1 "Heat No./Plate No." match).

Changing Certificate Type or Quality on a released certificate prompts "Certificate links have been found. Changing the [type/quality] will delete these links. Do you want to continue?". Confirming deletes ALL existing links — irreversible.

"A certificate line can't be deleted when it has certificate request which are sent."

The line is linked to a sent request. Use Revert status first.
