Sales certificates and outbound sending

The outgoing certificate flow: on every sales shipment, DXSteel generates requests, you link certificates, and send them (manually or via the automated job) to the customer. Customer-returned certificate data can be imported via XmlPort with automatic conversion.

The sales flow

  1. Optionally: before shipping you enter expected certificates on the sales order via the Sales Certificates FastTab.

  2. Post the sales shipment. DXSteel automatically creates a Certificate Request per shipped lot.

  3. With Link on sales shipment = On, DXSteel immediately attempts automatic linking.

  4. Open Send Certificates to send manually, or let the batch Certificates - Send Automated Job handle it on a schedule.

  5. Confirmation: when linking is incomplete you'll see "Order %1 is not completely linked. Do you want to continue anyway?".

Send options

Option

Effect

Add Certificates

Include certificates (else document only).

Only sent specified pages

Send only pages marked on the certificate.

Add certificates already sent

Re-send previously sent certificates.

Message when not complete

Show a confirm prompt for partial linking.

Ranking fallback

With Check Ranking Cert. Sales = On: when the exact certificate type isn't available, DXSteel looks for a higher-ranked certificate. A 3.2 certificate can fulfil a 3.1 request, but not the other way around.

Conversion Import (XmlPort)

Customers returning certificate feedback (test results, supplements) can be imported via the XmlPort ImportCertificatesDMX. The Conversion table (see master-data page) translates external codes to internal. Result: number of imported records reported via "Number of imported records: %1".

Key screens

  • Sales Certificates โ€” FastTab on sales order.

  • Posted Sales Certificates โ€” posted / final.

  • Sales Certificates Archive โ€” history.

  • Send Certificates โ€” interactive send page.

  • Conversion Import โ€” XmlPort for inbound customer data.

Best practices

Schedule the automated job (Certificates - Send Automated Job) as a nightly run. Certificates go to customers without manual action.

Message when not complete = Warning (not Error) in setup keeps the flow smooth but gives users explicit feedback on partial shipments.
