Processing master and Processing Instructions

Two connected masters:

  • Processing — defines a processing type (Cut, Saw, Decoil, Processing, Service) with work centre, cost code, item charge.

  • Processing Instruction — detailed variants with orientation, angles, linked images (saw figures).

Processing — field reference

Field

Purpose

Code

Unique ID (e.g. CUT-01).

Description

Short label for UI and reports. Not blank.

Type

Cut / Saw / Decoil / Processing / Service. Changing triggers in-use check.

Sales Line Column

Index 1-5: which sales-line column this processing surfaces in. Unique per value.

Work Center / Machine Center

Default production location. Changing work centre clears the machine.

Item Charge Invoicing

Optional Item Charge for auto cost flow.

Use Sawfigures

Boolean: only for type Saw — enables saw-figure selection.

Unit Cost + Cost UoM

Fallback cost if no specific price applies.

Processing Instruction — field reference

Field

Purpose

Unique variant code.

Processing Type

Type enum. Drives which fields are active.

Miter

Single / Parallel / Opposite (Saw only).

Profile Shape

U / C / T / L (only when Miter set).

Orientation / Orientation (back) / (side)

Conditional on profile shape.

Saw Image (front/cut/positioning)

Image Library references.

Saw Figure Letter

5-char code into the saw-profile diagram.

Instruction (text)

Free work instruction via GetInstruction/SetInstruction.

Picture

Embedded MediaSet for step diagrams.

Errors

Message

Cause

"This processing code is already used"

Changing Type while the processing is in use.

"Cost Unit of Measure Code is required when Processing Unit Cost is specified"

Cost filled without UoM.

Best practices

Give processings descriptive codes (CUT-LINEAR, SAW-MITER-45, DECOIL-WIDE). Operators recognise them at a glance.

Use Sales Line Column deliberately: set max five processing types that should appear as columns on sales lines (Cut/Saw/Decoil/Subcontract/Inspection).

  • Processing Reference List — external codes mapped onto processings.

  • Processing Translations — multilingual work instructions.
